HMI Pictures' maiden venture, Aayiram Vilakku, is directed by Shankar's assistant Hosimin, who returns to the screen after a long gap with his second film. Shanthnoo is paired with Sana Khan, and veteran actor Sathyaraj has equal footage as the hero in this story. The film is about a rowdy whose life changes when filial love hits him.
"I am happy the producer and director trusted me with this role," said Shanthnoo. "Usually people see the market value of a hero before deciding things since that's how the industry functions. I share great chemistry with Sana on screen, but even stronger is the chemistry between Satyaraj sir and myself!"
