When Hugh Hefner had that brainwave in 1953, he raised a few eyebrows. Many were of the opinion that what Mr Hefner had in mind was, going by the dictionary, pornography. But 55 years and countless competitors later, Playboy remains the largest selling `men`s magazine`, selling about three million a month in the US.
We have today 10 women who influenced this revolution and who have graced hostel walls, cubicle corners, the principal`s drawer and, of course, our hearts. They`ve become icons in their own right and we celebrate their memory with this exclusive presentation—Playboy`s top 10.

This thunder from down under was reportedly paid nearly $2 million to pose for Playboy. Hefner was interested soon after this beauty from New Zealand appeared in a music video for Fountains of Wayne as the infamous Stacy`s mom. The song (and the video) turned superhits and prompted Playboy to chase her down into their pages.
